Chapter One :: Feedback on Our Programmes

禹欣在去年就读二年级时参加人之初强化班，当时小一的字她都有认读困难，在学校上课也吸收得不好，跟不上学校的进度，对自己没有自信。人之初的老师针对禹欣的学习情况，和我们详细地分析，让我们知道人之初的层次教学怎样可以一步步地帮助禹欣，老师也和家长讨论怎样和人之初的教学配合。在短短的3个月里，我们看见孩子的认字能力大有提高，她也非常期待去人之初上课，学校考试从不及格提升到将近70分。现在就读小三的禹欣对华文非常有自信，感谢人之初的老师和教学让我的孩子无论在学习热忱和成绩上取得明显的进步！目前，我的二女儿禹恩和侄儿浩明也在人之初学习，他们的进步也是显而易见的。

Yi Xin started Chapter One in end Dec’08. Chapter One program has helped her to develop her interest and confidence in Chinese. Her results improved and I would strongly recommend Chapter One to parents who want their children to build their Chinese foundation.

Yi Xuan has a borderline pass in Chinese on her mid year exam. Since joining Chapter One in July 09, I was impressed with her CA2 result (scored 84/100). The comprehension technique from Chapter One is great. My girl achieved high mark on her comprehension in paper 2 after applying the technique. Thank you Chapter One.

A friend of mine recommended Chapter One, that brought my daughter, Allysandra to this place. From the very first visit, I knew Chapter One is not just like any other tutoring courses that I have come across. I saw how all the people there are passionate of their work & the progress that the children made. Teachers know the children by their name & their behaviour in class. They talk to us, parents, constantly reporting any progress my children have made as well as their concern that need to be dealth with both by parents and the child itself. They are also very resourceful and willing to go the extra mile in order to see their pupils excel. I can so see that Allysandra is not that intimidated anymore but rather more confident with this subject. Thank you so much, to everybody in Chapter One !

My daughter, who is in P4 has been with Chapter One for more than three years already and I’m happy to see her progress. She is more willing to speak in Chinese now and started to gain confidence in writing her own composition. Also, my son is in P1 just started with Chapter One last year but I would say the teacher did a good job to help him adjust quite well from kindergarden to Primary. The teachers are dedicated and caring. Li Lao Shi would regularly feedback the progress of my children which I truly appreciated.

毅恺上了小五选读高级华文，但我们发现无论他的高级或普通成绩都退步了，学得十分吃力，许多字词都掌握不好，普通华文只得57分，而高级华文则不及格，作文也不理想。我们报读了人之初的华文强化班，上了第一堂课，毅恺便十分开心，他说老师解释得非常清楚，而且很关心他。除此之外，他每个星期在人之初的图书馆里借书，养成了阅读华文书的习惯。在一个学期后，毅恺的普通华文考试得了83分，他兴奋得拢不住嘴地告诉人之初的老师！同时，高级华文也有了显著的进步。看见毅恺对华文有兴趣，我们非常欣慰，也报读了动力班，上了几堂课毅恺的作文也有所进步，不觉得写作文是件苦差。毅恺说：“我喜欢人之初的老师她们很有耐心，认真又友善，并且很关心我，我也喜欢这里的图书馆！”虽然毅恺还有很大的进步空间，我们有信心在人之初老师的指导下，华文水平一定会提高！

I joined Chapter One when I was P4 as my grade was dropping. My grade improved to band 1 and Chinese has been one of my stronger subject till P6. The teachers are very patience and they paint out my mistakes and helped me a lot. The materials are systematic and useful and it helped me to scored well on my Chinese.

我从小三开始在人之初补习，之前觉得自己华文不错，进入小三因为要求提高，只得70 分。人之初的老师的指导和鼓励下，我的成绩渐渐地进步了，我十分开心。步入小五，我进入了另一介断的挑战。老师了解我的弱点，在成语，理解和作文方法加强指导，让我的华文成绩至到小六一直在80分以上、总是班上排前2名的学生。朋友们都羡慕我，问我是怎么做到的。谢谢人之初，谢谢老师们。

Joy has improved tremendously in her Chinese since she started lessons at Chapter One. She loves attending classes at Chapter One as she finds the lessons interesting and interactive. We are glad that she is enjoying the classes, thanks to the teachers at Chapter One !
